RE/MAX Again Ranked as Top Real Estate Franchise in Annual Survey by Entrepreneur Magazine

RE/MAX is the nation’s number one real estate franchise and the number 10 franchise overall, according to Entrepreneur Magazine’s 29th Annual “Franchise 500 Survey.” RE/MAX has held the honor of the top real estate franchisor for eight of the past 10 years.

The survey, which appears in the January 2008 edition of Entrepreneur Magazine, gives RE/MAX a Top 10 ranking in four different franchise categories. In addition to being picked as 10th best of all franchises, the Denver-based real estate franchisor was ranked first among low-cost franchises, seventh among global franchises, and 10th in the fastest-growing franchise category.

RE/MAX enjoyed a substantial lead over other real estate franchises in all of those categories. Its closest competitor ranked 43rd in the general category, 23rd in the low-cost franchises category, 20th among global franchises and 35th among the fastest growing franchise brands.

All companies in the Entrepreneur Magazine rankings are evaluated by the same criteria, including financial strength and stability, size, growth rate, startup costs and financing options. These and other factors are entered into the Franchise 500 formula, with each eligible company receiving a cumulative score.

The Entrepreneur Franchise 500 Survey is the most comprehensive franchise ranking in the world. The initial survey, conducted in 1980, was the first ranking of franchises in the industry. Over the years, the ranking procedure has been refined to provide the most accurate formula for identifying today’s top franchises.
