The RE/MAX Northern Illinois network remained the market share leader in the LaGrange area during 2007. RE/MAX agents listed 22.6 percent of all homes sold in the area based on sales data available through the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois (MLSNI).
Home sales reported by the MLSNI totaled 686 in the LaGrange area during 2007, a decrease of 10.2 percent over the 764 homes sold during the prior year.
The LaGrange market includes the communities of Countryside, Hodgkins, Indian Head Park, LaGrange, LaGrange Highlands, LaGrange Park, McCook, Western Springs and Willow Springs.
The top five real estate organizations in the LaGrange market during 2007, in terms of sold listings, were RE/MAX with 155 (22.6 percent), Coldwell Banker with 120 (17.5 percent), Smothers Realty Group with 101 (14.7 percent), Prudential with 49 (7.1 percent) and Realty Executives with 37 (5.4 percent). Data maintained by the MLSNI may not reflect all real estate activity in a specific market area.
RE/MAX also led the LaGrange market area in homes purchased. In 2007, RE/MAX agents represented buyers who purchased 19.8 percent of all listed homes sold in the area, topping Coldwell Banker (14 percent), Smothers Realty Group (12.4 percent), Prudential (6.7 percent) and Realty Executives (4.4 percent).
