3 RE/MAX Offices in Chicago Attain Miracle Office Status

Three more RE/MAX offices in Chicago recently joined the exclusive ranks of Miracle Offices, a designation given by the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), a network of premier children’s hospitals in the United State and Canada. The three offices are:

 RE/MAX Edge, 3843 N. Broadway, led by broker/owner Mark Zipperer, with 11 affiliated agents;

 RE/MAX Millennium, 641 E. Pershing Road, led by broker/owner Demetrios Chronis, with eight affiliated agents;

 RE/MAX Vision II, 350 W. Ontario St., led by broker/owner Jason Palermo, with 39 affiliated agents.

To become a Miracle Office, each agent in the office donates either a portion of every commission earned or a one-time annual amount to CMN. All funds raised for CMN by the offices in Chicago benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital. In Chicago, RE/MAX now has eight Miracle Offices.

“The commitment made by hundreds of RE/MAX agents throughout the Chicago area has allowed our network to establish itself as a leading corporate sponsor of Children’s Memorial,” noted Jim Merrion, regional director of RE/MAX Northern Illinois.

“We’re excited to add three more Miracle Offices in the city, and look forward to an outstanding year of fund raising on behalf of Children’s Memorial, which helps so many children regardless of the financial resources their families possess. It’s a wonderful way for all our agents to share their success with the communities in which they work,” he said.

‘Realtor.com’ and ‘REMAX’ Continue as Dominant Search Terms on Internet for Real Estate

The search terms ‘realtor.com’ and ‘remax’ continue to rank as the two most frequently used for Internet real estate searches, according to a recent study by Hitwise, an online competitive intelligence service.

Hitwise looks at Internet searches completed each month. In September 2007, ‘realtor.com’ and ‘remax’ ranked one and two among real estate search terms, garnering 1.69 percent and 0.92 percent of searches respectively.

Two months later, in November, the two terms held the same positions, but have increased their share of search usage substantially, with ‘realtor.com’ at 4.71 percent and ‘remax’ at 2.55 percent, according to Hitwise.

“Home sales have become increasingly tied to Internet usage in recent years, with 80 percent of buyers using the Internet when seeking a home in 2007,” said Jim Merrion, regional director of RE/MAX Northern Illinois. “As a result, it has become critical in the real estate industry to have the kind of widely recognized brand that consumers will utilize as a search term when seeking real estate information and listings through search engines such as Google, MSN and Yahoo. We are proud to see the RE/MAX brand enjoying such strong recognition among Internet users.”

Following ‘realtor.com’ and ‘remax’ among the Top 10 real estate search terms were: ‘Homegain,’ ‘Move.com,’ ‘Zillow,’ ‘Yahoo! Real Estate,’ ‘Rent.com,’ ‘ZipRealty,’ ‘Apartments.com’ and ‘ServiceMagic.’

RE/MAX Sauk Valley of Sterling, Ill., has joined the exclusive ranks of Miracle Offices, a designation given by the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), a network of premier children’s hospitals in the United State and Canada. The Sterling office, located at 3200 E. Lynn Blvd., is operated by broker/owners James Cesarek, Tim McCaslin and John Rosengren and has 14 affiliated agents.

We are pleased to be a small part of that effort and hope to maintain our Miracle Office status for many years to come.”

The 4,000 RE/MAX associates in northern Illinois are pleased to support children’s health by raising funds through a variety of activities as they continue to lead the residential real estate market.
