RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon In Joliet On May 19 To Help Cornerstone Make Dreams Come True

Visit Sponsored By RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network

The RE/MAX hot air balloon will make a special trip to the Joliet Airport in Joliet, Ill., on May 19 to help Cornerstone Services, Inc., a not-for-profit agency that aids adults with developmental disabilities, make some dreams come true.

For many disabled adults, the idea of riding in a balloon is a long-time wish. At Joliet Airport from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., several dozen disabled adults from around Illinois will have an opportunity, weather permitting, to experience the thrill of lifting off the ground in the RE/MAX balloon for a tethered ride that takes them 30 to 40 feet off the ground.

The balloon’s visit is sponsored by Ken Saieg of RE/MAX Realty of Joliet in cooperation with the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network. The visit is part of Freedom Quest, a state-wide effort to encourage Illinois political leaders to increase the resources devoted to assisting disabled adults. The event in Joliet is one of 13 planned around the state prior to a May 21 gathering in Springfield to petition the governor.

The ceremony at Joliet Airport, which will also help celebrate Cornerstone’s 40th anniversary, will include the presentation of three Dream Maker Awards to individuals or groups who have made special contributions to helping the disabled realize their dreams.
