RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon To Make Educational Visit To Southside Elementary School In Morrison On May 15

The students at Southside Elementary School, 100 Academic Dr., Morrison, Ill., will get an exciting introduction to hot air ballooning when the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew visit the school on May 15. The visit is part of an on-going interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.

The 600 students and staff at Southside will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history, the scientific principles involved and a demonstration on how the balloon functions.

The outdoor program will be presented twice, at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., starting in the school gymnasium, where students will see a presentation on the fundamentals of ballooning. Later, the students will be able to go outside and watch as the 75-foot-tall balloon is inflated on the school grounds. The visit of the balloon and its crew is being sponsored by Louise Clark, broker/owner of RE/MAX Property Associates in Morrison.
