Program Created by RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network The students at Homestead Elementary School, 2830 Hillsboro Blvd., Aurora, Ill., will get an exciting introduction to hot air ballooning when the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew visit the school on May 20. The visit is part of an on-going interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.
The 600 students and staff at Homestead will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history, the scientific principles involved and a demonstration on how the balloon functions.
The outdoor program will be presented at 9 a.m. on the school grounds, where students will see a presentation on the fundamentals of ballooning and watch as the 75-foot-tall balloon is inflated. The visit of the balloon and its crew is being sponsored by Craig Smyser with RE/MAX of Naperville in Naperville, IL.
