RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Visits Clissold School In Chicago

The students at Henry Clissold School, 2350 W. 110th Pl. on Chicago’s South Side, watched on April 2 as Bill Baker, pilot of the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon, explained how to control the two burners suspended above the balloon basket. The burners create the hot air that makes the balloon rise. The purpose of the visit by the RE/MAX balloon and its crew was to offer students a special program about the history and science of ballooning. The program was developed and the event sponsored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.

Power Broker Survey Recognizes 14 RE/MAX Brokerages Serving The Northern Illinois Real Estate Market

Annual Ranking Places Them Among Nation’s Most Productive Firms

Fourteen independently owned RE/MAX brokerage organizations serving the northern Illinois real estate market ranked among the 600 most productive residential brokerages in the nation for 2008 based on transactions closed, according to the 2009 Power Broker Report by Real Estate Magazine, a RISMedia publication.

Nationwide, 22.8 percent of the firms ranked in the newest version of the annual Power Broker Report were RE/MAX units.

The 14 RE/MAX brokerages in northern Illinois that were recognized in the 2009 Power Broker Report (which is based on 2008 sales results) are led once again by RE/MAX Suburban, which has offices in Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton. It ranked 143rd in transactions and 115th in sales volume.

The 13 other RE/MAX offices in northern Illinois ranked in the Power Broker Report, with their transaction and sales rankings, are:

Real Estate Magazine listed six other RE/MAX offices in northern Illinois as “Companies to Watch,” a list of future star performers, based on their 2008 sales achievements. They are: RE/MAX Signature, Chicago; RE/MAX South Suburban, Flossmoor; RE/MAX Elite, Darien and Hinsdale; RE/MAX At Home, Rolling Meadows; RE/MAX Hometown Advantage, Geneseo; and RE/MAX North, Northbrook.
