RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Coming to St. Matthias School In The Chicago Real Estate Neighborhood Of Lincoln Square On April 13

Students at St. Matthias Transfiguration School, 4910 N. Claremont Ave., in the Lincoln Square area on Chicago’s North Side will receive a visit from the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon on April 13. The balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The 190 students at St. Matthias will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 30 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium, where the 75-foot-tall balloon envelope will be inflated with cold air, permitting students to walk inside it. The presentation then will conclude outdoors with a demonstration of how the balloon basket and burners operate.
