RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon To Visit School In Chicago Real Estate Neighborhood of Mt. Greenwood Area

Students at Queen of Martyrs Elementary School, 3550 W. 103rd St. in the Mt. Greenwood area on Chicago’s Southwest Side will receive a visit from the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon on April 16. The balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The 430 students at Queen of Martyrs will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented twice, starting at 9 a.m., to accommodate all the students. It will begin in the school gymnasium, where the 75-foot-tall balloon envelope will be inflated with cold air, permitting students to walk inside it. The program then will conclude outdoors with a demonstration of the how the balloon basket and burners operate.
