RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon Will Make April 9 Educational Visit To Harnew Elementary School In Chicago Real Estate Neighborhood Of Oak Lawn

Students at Harnew Elementary School, 9101 S. Meade Ave., Oak Lawn, Ill., will enjoy a visit from the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew on April 9. The balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The 400 students at Harnew School will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 20 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented twice, starting at 1 p.m., to accommodate all the students. It will begin in the school gymnasium, where the 75-foot-tall balloon envelope will be inflated with cold air, permitting students to walk inside it. The program then will conclude outdoors with a demonstration of the how the balloon basket and burners operate.
