Visit Rescheduled: RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon Will Go To Wadsworth School In Chicago’s Wooodlawn Area On May 21

Students at James Wadsworth Elementary School, 6420 S. University Ave., in the Woodlawn area on Chicago’s South Side will welcome the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew on May 21 after the school requested that a planned visit on April 28 be rescheduled. The balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The 300 students at Wadsworth Elementary School will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented at 12:45 p.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. The balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if the program is held outdoors. If the full presentation must be moved indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside.
