RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon to Visit Lace Elementary School in Darien on May 14

ELGIN, Ill., May 4, 2010 -- The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit Lace Elementary School, 7414 Cass Ave., in Darien, Ill., on May 14, where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

In the audience will be the 550 students at Lace School, who will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

To accommodate all the students, the program will be presented twice, at 8:45 and 10 a.m., outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting. But it can be moved indoors if required. The balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if the program is held outdoors. If the program needs to be moved indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside it as part of the presentation.
