RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon Program to Visit 3 South Side Schools in May

The RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network has announced that the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will visit three more schools on the South Side of Chicago in May to present an interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX network.
The three newly confirmed balloon visits will take place at:

• Bret Harte Elementary School, 1556 E. 56th St. in Hyde Park at 9:30 a.m. on May 12.
• Pershing Middle School, 3200 S. Calumet Ave. in the Near South Side area at 9:30 a.m. on May 17.
• Carter Woodson Elementary School, 4414 S. Evans Ave., in the Grand Boulevard area at 9:30 a.m. on May 21.

The program presented will teach students about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

At Harte and Woodson schools, the program will be presented outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. At Pershing School, space limitations make it necessary to present the program indoors in the school gymnasium.

During outdoor programs, the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if conditions allow. When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
