RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon Program Will Visit Schools in Niles, Morton Grove and Skokie

ELGIN, Ill., May 14, 2010 -- The RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network has announced that the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will visit schools in Niles, Morton Grove and Skokie, Ill., in late May and early June to present an interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX network.

The three confirmed balloon visits will take place at:
  • Science Academy, 8350 N. Greenwood Ave., Niles 2 p.m. on May 25.
  • Park View School, 6200 Lake St., Morton Grove at 1:30 p.m. on May 28.
  • Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School, 7120 N. Laramie Ave., Skokie at 9:15 a.m. on June 8.
The program presented will teach students about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

At Hillel Torah, the program will be presented outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. At Science Academy and Park View schools, outdoor space limitations make it necessary to present the program indoors.

During outdoor programs, the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if conditions allow. When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
