RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon Program Will Visit Locke School in Chicago

ELGIN, Ill., May 27, 2010 -- The RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network has announced that the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew will again visit at Josephine Locke Elementary School, 2828 N. Oak Park Ave., in Chicago’s Montclare neighborhood. They will come to the school on June 4 to present an interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX network. The balloon also visited Locke School last year, and was such a hit with students that it was asked to return.

The students at Locke Elementary will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon will visit more than 40 schools this spring in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented at 9:15 a.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. During the outdoor program the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height. When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is partially inflated with cool air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
