RE/MAX of Barrington earned one of five Outstanding Citizen Awards for exceptional 2009 fund raising on behalf of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). The awards were presented by RE/MAX Northern Illinois and Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago. The hospital benefits from funds raised for CMN in the Chicago area. RE/MAX of Barrington collected more than $11,000 for CMN in 2009, the fourth largest amount raised by any firm in the network.
Mark Kolar, 57, who serves as the managing broker for RE/MAX of Barrington, received the Manager of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions in 2009. A resident of North Barrington, Kolar had 25 years of experience as a real estate office manager when he joined the RE/MAX network in 2001.
He was recognized for his success in helping RE/MAX of Barrington retain its leadership position in almost every aspect of the local residential real estate market, including listings sold, sales made, total transactions closed and dollar sales volume closed. He also was saluted for his achievements in retaining and recruiting agents.
Due in part to Kolar’s efforts, the RE/MAX share of the Barrington area real estate market rose from 18 percent in 2008 to 24 percent in 2009.
RE/MAX of Barrington associate Mimi Burke also won special recognition for achieving the largest residential sales commission of the year in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network. Burke helped established clients sell their 10,000-square-foot home in Barrington Hills in just 45 days at a price of nearly $4 million.
