RE/MAX Chicago Real Estate Network to Send Famous Hot Air Balloon to Help Naperville Agents Raise Funds for Children’s Memorial

ELGIN, Ill., July 12, 2010 – The RE/MAX Chicago real estate network is sending its famous hot air balloon to Frontier Park in Naperville, Ill., later this month to help RE/MAX Professionals Select of Naperville raise donations to benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago, one of the outstanding hospitals affiliated with the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).

The balloon will be at Frontier Park, 3380 Cedar Glade Dr., between 7 and 8:30 p.m. on July 22, weather permitting. Fully inflated and tethered to the ground by cables, the balloon will carry passengers 30 feet up in the air.

The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon is one of the nation’s most widely recognized corporate symbols and is a frequent visitor in the skies above Chicagoland and elsewhere in northern Illinois. All agents affiliated with RE/MAX Professionals Select and a guest of their choice will be able to enjoy a tethered ride in return for a $50 contribution to CMN.

“Our goal for 2010 is to become a CMN Miracle Office, which means all our agents need to make an annual contribution of $50 or donate $5 for each transaction they close this year. We thought this would be a wonderful and exciting way to make sure we reach that goal,” said Ellen Conte, who is organizing the event. “It’s a unique opportunity, and I know many of our agents are looking forward to the experience and to the fun of taking a client or family member or business associate along for the ride.”

Last year, RE/MAX Northern Illinois raised more than $120,000 for CMN with 100 percent of these funds going to Children’s Memorial Hospital.
