RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network’s Hot Air Balloon Visits Immaculate Conception School in Norwood Park on Aug. 23

ELGIN, Ill., Aug. 13. 2010 -- The students at Immaculate Conception School, 7263 W. Talcott Ave., Chicago, will get an exciting introduction to hot air ballooning when the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew visit the school on Aug. 23. The visit is part of an on-going interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX Metro Chicago real estate network.

The 400 students and staff at Immaculate Conception will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history, the scientific principles involved and a demonstration on how the balloon functions.

The program will be presented at 8:30 a.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. During the outdoor program the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height. When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is partially inflated with cool air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
RE/MAX is the leader in northern Illinois real estate sales. It has been number one in the metropolitan Chicago real estate market since 1989, closing more than $6 billion in sales last year.
