RE/MAX Metro Chicago Real Estate Network's Hot Air Balloon Program Returning to Jay Elementary in Mt. Prospect on Oct. 19

ELGIN, Ill., Sept. 29, 2010 -- The RE/MAX metro network has confirmed that its RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will return to John Jay Elementary School, 1835 Pheasant Trail, in Mt. Prospect, Ill., on Oct. 19, following up on an initial visit made in April. The balloon crew will again present an interactive educational program developed by the RE/MAX Chicago real estate network using the hot air balloon as a teaching tool.

The 250 students at Jay Elementary will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon has visited more than 45 schools so far this year in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented at 9:30 a.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. During the outdoor program the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height. When the program is presented indoors, the envelope is partially inflated with cool air and students have the opportunity to walk inside it.
