RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon to Visit Young School in Chicago Real Estate Area of Austin

ELGIN, Ill., Oct. 15, 2010 -- The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will pay a visit to Ella Flagg Young Elementary School, 1434 N. Parkside Ave., in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, on Oct. 21 when the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX metro Chicago real estate network.

The students at Young School will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon has visited more than 50 schools this year in northern Illinois.

The program will be presented at 9:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium to 300 fourth-grade and seventh-grade students. The 75-foot-tall balloon envelope will be inflated with cold air, permitting students to walk inside it. The presentation then will conclude outdoors with a demonstration of how the balloon basket and burners operate.
