RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network's Hot Air Balloon to Visit Alpine Academy in Rockford on April 26

The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit Alpine Academy, 5001 Forest View Ave., in Rockford, Ill., on April 26 where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.

In the audience at Alpine Academy, where classes run from kindergarten through sixth grade, will be 120 students, all of whom will learn about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved, and they will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon and crew will present this educational program more than 100 times at schools across northern Illinois this year.

The program at Alpine Academy will be presented at 1 p.m. outdoors on the school grounds, weather permitting, but can be moved indoors if required. The balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height if the program is held outdoors. If the program needs to be moved indoors, the envelope is inflated with cold air so that students can walk inside it as part of the presentation.
