ELGIN, Ill., May 23, 2011 -- The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon will visit Wilton Center Elementary School, 29520 S. Cedar Road, Manhattan, Ill., on May 27, where the balloon crew will present an interactive educational program developed and sponsored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. outdoors on the school grounds where, weather permitting, the balloon envelope will be inflated with hot air to its full 75-foot height. Then the program will move to the school gymnasium where 100 eighth-grade students will hear a presentation about various aspects of ballooning, including its history and the scientific principles involved. They also will see a demonstration on how the balloon functions. The RE/MAX balloon and crew will present more than 100 educational programs to schools across northern Illinois this year.
The balloon visit was arranged by Sales Associate Linda Tuller of RE/MAX All Properties in New Lenox, Ill.
