ELGIN, Ill., July 15, 2011 -- Not many metro Chicago real estate offices are expanding these days, but RE/MAX County Line in Burr Ridge, Ill., has just bucked that trend. RE/MAX County Line marked the opening of a new office facility with a June 17 celebration that included 150 guests.
The new 3,700-square-foot office at 90 Burr Ridge Pkwy., is next door to the brokerage’s former location but is more than three times as large.
“We’ve been dealing with very limited space for several years but were extremely happy with our location. So, when the bank that was next door decided to move, it was a perfect opportunity for us to add the space we needed and keep our familiar spot in the community,” said Budd Simons, broker/owner of RE/MAX County Line.
The new office provides a range of space alternatives for both individual agents and agent teams, from private suites to work stations, and offers a full range of shared facilities, including a large conference room, reception area, break room, ample storage space and a viewing lounge where agents and clients can review listings on a giant wall-mounted screen.
“We made the move in anticipation of the real estate market only getting better over the next few years,” said Simons, “and we are already seeing signs of that. Through the first half of this year, the number of conventional sales we closed was up substantially. At the same time, short sales and sales of foreclosures remain important segments of the current market.”
Having worked with limited space since he acquired RE/MAX County Line two years ago, Simons now has ample room for growth and has launched an aggressive effort to recruit top agents to the firm. He is set to welcome three new affiliates in the coming weeks, adding to the 10 agents already there.
Simons and his agents celebrated the expansion with an elegant catered reception for members of the local business community, local real estate professionals and past clients.
“It was nice that we even had room to throw a really good party,” said Simons. “I feel as if our timing is just right in terms of an improving market, and of course the entire Burr Ridge-Willowbrook-Hinsdale area is a wonderful place to be in our business.”
