RE/MAX Advisors Adds Third Office With Acquisition Of Lake Villa Real Estate Franchise

RE/MAX Advisors has added a third office to its Chicago real estate operations with the acquisition of the RE/MAX franchise at 895 E. Grand Ave., in Lake Villa, Ill., formerly known as RE/MAX Premier Realty.

Acquiring the Lake Villa real estate office were Daniel Macahon, who founded RE/MAX Advisors in Wood Dale, Illinois, in 1998, and Alice Scifo, a 20-year veteran of the real estate industry and managing broker of the RE/MAX Advisors office in Deer Park, IL, which opened in 2002.

“We’re extremely pleased to be able to expand our operations to Lake Villa,” said Macahon. “The area offers an accessible location within the Chicago metropolitan area with a significant supply of developable land that allows families to buy larger homes at a reasonable price. In addition, the office has a solid group of experienced agents, as well as an outstanding facility with state-of-the-art technology and a prime location on Grand Avenue.”

With offices in Lake Villa, Deer Park and Wood Dale, RE/MAX Advisors now has a presence in Lake, Cook and DuPage Counties.

“Our objective is to build a network of offices that are positioned so that they don’t compete against one another but instead create an effective referral network that benefits each of the offices,” he said.

Macahon and Scifo will both be involved in the day-to-day management of the Lake Villa office.

“Because it is a relatively new facility, there is little we need to do in the way of physical improvements, but we will be adding services to make things more convenient for our agents and their clients,” said Scifo. Those services will include a full-time mortgage lending professional and a full-time attorney specializing in real estate transactions.

RE/MAX Advisors also has relationships with almost all the major title insurers operating in the Chicago area that make it possible to handle closings in the office, rather than at the title company.
